There is a 70’ Redstone Missile (an actual NASA rocket) at the beginning of the trail and the trail offers scenery of Black Brook. Trail connects to Mount Moosilauke ATV Club trails. The Mount Moosilauke ATV Club works collaboratively on maintenance with the NH Bureau of Trails.

Sugar River Recreational Rail Trail (Newport to Claremont)
Trail Status: OPEN Year-round.
Trail Mileage: 9.5
Parking: Newport - Located next to the Newport Recreation Department. From the town center, head ¼ mile north on Route 10, turn left onto Belknap Avenue, parking is located 1/10 of a mile from this turn; OR, Claremont - Located at the western terminus of the trail on the South side of Routes 11 and 103, 1.7 miles west of the Newport/Claremont town line.
Trail Information: A multi-use rail trail owned by the State of New Hampshire, open year-round for use by ATVs (50" Maximum width) and TBs, has two historic covered bridges and follows the Sugar River. Trail does not connect to Sullivan County ATV Club trails. DO NOT leave the rail trail and ride on the public snowmobile trail system - not allowed.

Trail Information: A multi-use trail area open to ATVS, UTVs (50" maximum width) and TBs from May 23 to beginning of mud season (end of contiguous snow cover) on designated open snowmobile trails ONLY – no leaving the area and riding on public snowmobile trail system. The Hopkinton-Everett Trails Area is located within a US Army Corp of Engineers flood control project area; trails may be CLOSED to public recreational use at any time, without notice, for flood control purposes. The Merrimack Valley Trail Riders works collaboratively on maintenance with the NH Bureau of Trails.

Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail - Fremont Branch (Derry to Fremont)
Trail status: OPEN but CLOSED section as of March 21, 2024. Due to high water, the Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail – Fremont Branch is closed to all users from the Fremont Parking off Rt 107 in Fremont southwest towards N. Danville Road in Sandown. Non-motorized users can still park at the Fremont parking and head northeast on the trail towards Epping. All users (including OHRVs) can park at the Warner Hill Road Parking and access the trail headed north as well as south. Please do not attempt to cross-use the trail through the water and do not go off trail to bypass the water. Please turn around when you reach the closed sections. Our staff is working to address the issue, Thank you for your patience.

Parking: Fremont - Located across from the Fremont town library by the intersection of Routes 107 and 111A, OR, Derry - Route 102 to Derry Village Traffic Circle, go East on East Derry Road, go South on Warner Hill Road, parking located on North side of the trail.
Trail Information: A multi-use rail trail owned by the State of New Hampshire, open year-round for use by ATVs (50" maximum width) and TBs. Winter OHRV use is only from Route 28 in Derry to Main Street in Epping. DO NOT leave the rail trail and ride on the public snowmobile trail system - not allowed. The trail passes through wetlands and forest. The New Hampshire ATV Club works collaboratively on maintenance with the NH Bureau of Trails.
