FIRST ANNUAL 2009 ART CONTEST WINNERS
The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation was overwhelmed with the number of submissions for the first Annual Art Contest. Submissions were from all ages, from all over the state and beyond. The art was well done and showed great interpretation of experience and landscape of each park.
The Division would like to continue the art contest on an annual basis. So next time you visit a New Hampshire State Park, take it all in and think about how you could interpret what you see and feel in an art form.
We want to thank all of the artists who sent in submissions. They were certainly a joy to see, making decisions tough to make.
Our overall winner was Roy A. Anderton of Chepachet, RI. His rendition for White Lake State Park was excellent. Mr. Anderton will receive a New Hampshire State Park fleece and Season Pass, as well as copies of whatever his artwork used for, including artistic credit and recognition.
