Jenness State Beach Title

Jenness State Beach is a great family location with an Atlantic ocean-front setting - its sandy beach is ideal for swimming and picnicking. Amenities at the beach include a bathhouse.

The beach is open daily from May 24 through October 13, 2008. Lifeguards are on duty 9:00am-4:45pm on Memorial Day weekend (May24-26), then daily from June 7 through September 1, 2008, weather permitting.

Metered parking is available for 67 cars. Parking meters are located along Route 1A and accept quarters and tokens only. If quarters are used, the rate is $1.50 per hour. Tokens cost $5 each for and are good for four hours. Tokens can be purchased at change machines at the following locations:

  • Parking lot south of the Hampton Seashell complex - south end and north end
  • Restroom on Ross Avenue
  • Restrooms at North Beach, Jenness Beach and North Hampton State Beach

Hours of operation for the meters are 8:00am to midnight, seven days a week, from May 1st through October 1st.
