Monadnock State Park is open year-round, with winter camping, hiking, and cross country skiing.
Campgrounds are open for reservable stays through Columbus Day weekend, with staff and facilities. (Make your reservations now for next season!) During the off season, state campgrounds that offer primitive camping with limited facilites are available on a first-come/first-served basis. The campgrounds have self-pay stations when staff is not available for camper registration. Campers can find campsites at Pawtuckaway State Park (through November 21, weather permitting) and Dry River Campground in Crawford Notch State Park (through December 15, weather permitting). For the softer side to camping, reserve a stay in one of our new cabins at Pawtuckaway, or experience one of our new yurts at Milan Hill State Park (available through mid-November, weather permitting). Both come fully furnished, and offer cozy shelter from the elements. A few of our campgrounds offer year-round camping opportunities, including Monadnock State Park, Lafayette Campground, and Cannon RV Park. Campers can make reservations at nhstateparks.org or by calling 1-877-647-2757 (1-877-nhparks).
While most of the parks are closed for the season, the park lands are always open for recreation. Please be reminded that no comfort stations are available and all items (including trash) must be carried out with you when you leave. Should an emergency arise during your visit, please call 911 for assistance.
Thanks for a great 2009 season in New Hampshire State Parks, and we look forward to a season of fun recreation for you and your family in 2010!
