The Division of Parks and Recreation is working cooperatively with the Monadnock Conservancy and local and state officials on the proposed acquisition of Temple Mountain as a new state park. The Division held public information sessions in Concord on June 21st and in Peterborough on July 12th. Public comment was solicited through September 15, 2006, on the proposed acquisition, future public use and resource management, and the allocation of the state's fiscal year 2007 appropriation of the Land and Water Conservation Fund to the project.
