Citizens Committee 

The Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Citizens Committee is established by RSA 12-A:9-b. The committee is made up of 14 members, 7 members are residents of the Great North Woods region. The committee provides advice to the Department of Resources and Economic Development on the monitoring of and compliance with the terms of the Connecticut Lakes Headwaters Forest Legacy Easement.

In addition, the committee provides management advice to the Department of Resources and Economic Development and the Fish and Game Department on a variety of issues, including public recreation, revisions to the stewardship and management plans, and camp leases. The Division of Parks and Recreation provides administrative assistance to the committee.
