Camping

New Hampshire has 19 State Parks with camping facilities in beautiful surroundings, available for use by individuals, families, and youth groups. We offer various camping experiences, such as primitive camping, cabin and yurt rentals, full-service RV hookups, and lean-to's. We want your visit to New Hampshire state park campgrounds to be a pleasant and memorable experience!

New Hampshire State Park Campgrounds

Bear Brook State Park - Allenstown
This 10,000-acre park has 101 wooded campsites located on Beaver Pond. There are miles of trails for a wide variety of recreational opportunities. A camp store, canoe rentals, coin-operated showers, laundry facilities, dump station, ice, and firewood are available. This is a pet friendly campground.

Cannon Mountain RV Park - Franconia
Located at the north end of Franconia Notch State Park, it offers 7 full-hookup campsites. The RV Park is open year-round with limited services. The Cannon Mountain RV Park will open with services (water, sewer, beach restrooms open during the day) beginning on May 25th, 2012.

Coleman State Park - Stewartstown
On Little Diamond Pond, this 25 site campground offers an excellent base for fishing, kayaking, hunting and more. The campground is open May 20th through October 10th, 2011. This is a pet friendly campground.

Deer Mountain Campground- Pittsburg
Just south of the Canadian border, this 25 site primitive campground is located in Connecticut Lakes State Forest. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning on May 18th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

Dry River Campground- Harts Location
This 35-site campground is a woodland setting, located in the heart of Crawford Notch State Park. Flush toilets and showers are located in the campground. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning April 27th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

Ellacoya State Park- Gilford
The 38 full hookup sites on the shore of Lake Winnipesauke offers mountain views.

Greenfield State Park- Greenfield
Tucked away in this 400-acre park are ponds, bogs and a 257-site campground. The campground has a separate beach. This is a pet friendly campground.

Hampton Beach State Park- Hampton
The only RV park directly on the New Hampshire coast at the mouth of the Hampton River. The park is located south of the main part of Hampton Beach on Route 1A at the Seabrook-Hampton town line. Route 1A can be easily reached from I-95 by either Route 101 or 286. The campground, with 28 sites, is open for reservations from April 27th, 2012.

Lafayette Place Campground- Franconia
In the heart of Franconia Notch State Park, this 97 site wooded campground is open year round (no services mid-October through mid-May). It is a great base for hiking, biking and exploring the White Mountain region. The campground is open with limited services beginning on May 18th, 2012.

Lake Francis State Park- Pittsburg
In the Great North Woods this lakefront park offers 45 sites for tent camping as well as some 2-way hookups. The park offers excellent base for fishing, wildlife viewing and kayaking. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 4th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

Milan Hill State Park- Milan
With sweeping views of the White Mountains, mountains of Maine and Canada this park offers 10 campsites including 4 yurts for primitive camping. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 11th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

Mollidgewock State Park- Errol
Located on NH Route 16, approximately 28 miles north of Berlin and three miles south of Errol, the campground is open for reservable stays from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend. The primitive tenting campground offers campsites, including remote and canoe-to sites along the Androscoggin and Magalloway Rivers. Water and pit toilets are located in the campground. Wood and ice are offered for sale, and kayaks can be rented. Thirteen Mile Woods Scenic Area, in which the campground is located, is popular for watching moose and other wildlife. The nearby rivers are a favorite among picnickers, anglers, canoeists, and kayakers. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 18th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

Monadnock State Park- Jaffrey
Gilson Pond Campground campground has 34 campsites for tents or pop-ups, 6 remote hike-to sites and new bathhouse and playground. Gilson Pond Campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 11th, 2012. The campground at Monadnock headquarters offers youth group camping and is open year-round.

Moose Brook State Park- Gorham
With 59 campsites, the park is ideally located for fishing in the Peabody and Moose rivers. There many trails in the park are great for exploring on foot or mountain bike. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning from May 4th, 2012.
Campsites will remain available with limited facilities (weather permitting) until October 24th at the picnic/campground area. Limited facilities after October 10th include water outside of office building only, pit toilets and Iron Ranger registration. This is a pet friendly campground.

Mount Sunapee State Park- Newbury
The campground has 10 campsites including 5 lean-tos and one platform site. The sites are wooded and are for tent camping.

Pawtuckaway State Park - Nottingham
The campground offers 190 wooded campsites, many providing views of the lake. Each campsite has an open fireplace, picnic table, flat area for a tent, and a parking space. Running water, flush toilets, a camp store, boat launch, and canoe and kayak rentals are available. Coin-operated showers are accessible 24 hours a day. Five cabins are available; each sleeps six people, has electricity, and includes a fire ring and picnic table. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 11th, 2012.

Pillsbury State Park- Washington
This 41 site primitive campground includes canoe-to and walk-in sites. The park is heavily wooded with several ponds and wetlands that offer a variety of wildlife. This is a pet friendly campground.

Umbagog Lake State Park- Cambridge
Campground offers 63 sites with tent and 2-way hookup sites, remote sites and three cabins. Park is great for wildlife viewing. The campground is open for walk-ins beginning May 4th, 2012. This is a pet friendly campground.

White Lake State Park- Tamworth
The 203-site campground is located on the shore of White Lake with some of the best swimming in the White Mountain region.
