Dear potential LWCF applicants:

It is my pleasure to announce Grant Round Twenty-Three (FY2008) of the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) program. Enclosed you will find the LWCF application instructions and guidelines. The APPLICATION INTENT FORM must be filed by Monday, October 22, 2007. The deadline for completed applications is 4 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the DRED reception desk.

Competition for this limited federal funding is strong and one detail can make the difference in being selected for funding. The Land and Water Conservation Fund program is expected to have more years of funding.  The grant round for FY2009 will be announced in July 2008 with an expected application deadline in January 2009.
